☀️GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE ELIXIR☀️
Most mornings when I wake I try to start my day with an elixir of hot water, lemon juice, honey and turmeric. Turmeric is reported to have many health benefits, most importantly as a liver detoxifier. It works by assisting to clear the congestion from the liver. I find it helps my body and mind to wake up a bit more quickly. And it tastes pretty delicious too.
Curcumin has been identified as the agent responsible for most of the biological activity of turmeric. Scientific research is still ongoing but I am a firm believer in thousands of years of Ayurvedic knowledge, plus I feel great when it is a regular part of my morning ritual.
8 oz hot water
¼ teaspoon turmeric
juice of half lemon
½ -1 tablespoon local raw honey
I usually make 2- 16oz bottles of it at a time. I put the remainder in the fridge and sip on throughout day. If you don't drink it all cold - the next few days you already have your days elixir ready! Just heat (I recommend bringing it to a low simmer on stovetop) and drink.

Personally, I have been drinking chamomile before bed for as long as I can remember. It has always assisted me in falling asleep more quickly and also calming me down when my nerves were on edge.
