Chinese Tea Etiquette
Join us for an intimate afternoon exploring Chinese tea etiquette, guided by Yin — a Hong Konger, architect, amateur garden creator, soil-building enthusiast, compost beginner, moon glazer, cloud watcher, TCM believer, and lifelong Chinese tea drinker.
For Yin, tea is a kind of magic; each sip carries her back to the moments and memories that shaped her — family gatherings, ancestral rhythms, the quiet grounding of home. Her relationship with tea is both tender and rooted, a bridge between everyday life and the culture that raised her.
In this session, Yin will share a beautiful Pu’er from her personal collection and lead us through a gentle discussion of traditional and modern Chinese tea etiquette — how we pour, how we receive, how we sit with one another over these leaves. Together we’ll explore the gestures, stories, and small rituals that give Chinese tea its depth and humanity. Come ready to listen, taste, and connect.
