CommuniTea Table | 迎月 (Meet the Moon)

This week’s gathering is dedicated to the Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节, Zhōngqiū Jié), one of the most cherished celebrations across East Asia. The festival is also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival and falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest.

Our theme, 迎月 (yíng yuè), means “to meet or greet the moon.” It’s a moment to come together, share tea, and reflect on unity, gratitude, and the cycles of nature.

Festival Significance

• Harvest & Reunion: Traditionally, Mid-Autumn is a harvest festival and a time for family gatherings under the full moon.

• Legends of the Moon: Stories of Chang’e, the Moon Goddess, and the Jade Rabbit are passed down through generations, representing immortality, devotion, and the eternal pull of the moon.

• Mooncakes & Offerings: People exchange mooncakes, light lanterns, and set offerings of fruit and tea under the moon as symbols of harmony and hope.

At the Table

We’ll be serving a selection of teas chosen for balance and brightness, honoring the season’s sense of reflection and fullness. Guests will have the opportunity to:

• Taste teas that pair with autumn’s round, mellow character.

• Taste mooncakes, and our tea table snacks

• Share conversation and ritual, inspired by moon legends and seasonal traditions.

• Celebrate togetherness, whether with family, friends, or community.

CommuniTea Table

The CommuniTea Table is one of the most beloved experiences at our studio. It is a space where tea connects us in ways that feel timeless and grounding and it’s a time for people to come together, infused with the energy of tea.

Join us for connection, conversation, and, of course, tea. These gatherings are a relaxed, casual way to explore the vast world of tea. Over the course of the session, we sip 4-6 teas, each bringing its own story and flavor to the table. Paired with light tea snacks, it’s always an adventure. Come for the whole time or drop in when it aligns to your schedule.

Sundays bring an extra layer of delight with  Sunday Select - tarot readings, table games like chess, and the same sense of warmth and curiosity that makes CommuniTea special.
