On the eve of Adrienne’s birthday, we gather for a special edition of Liquid Meditation: Solar Return.

A birthday marks a threshold — the closing of one personal year and the beginning of another. In astrology, the solar return marks the Sun’s annual return to the position it held at the moment of birth: a symbolic turning of the wheel and an opportunity to reflect on where we have been, who we are becoming, and how we wish to enter the cycle ahead.

This year, we meet beneath a waxing crescent moon — a young moon already beginning to gather light. Rather than asking us to complete or release everything at once, this phase invites us to notice what is beginning to emerge and to give our attention to what we want to strengthen, cultivate, and carry forward.

Through intentional tea, guided breath, silence, and reflection, we will create space between one chapter and the next.

We’ll honor what the previous year has taught us without needing to hold onto all of it. We’ll acknowledge the people, experiences, challenges, and unexpected turns that have shaped us. And then, rather than making resolutions or forcing a vision for the future, we’ll listen for what already seems to be quietly asking for our energy.

We may sit with questions such as:

What have I become more aware of this year?
What deserves to come with me into the next cycle?
What is beginning to take shape, even if I cannot fully see it yet?
Where am I being asked to trust myself more deeply?
What would I like to nourish as this next revolution begins?

The waxing moon reminds us that beginnings do not arrive fully formed. They gather light slowly.

Solar Return is a meditation on that space of becoming — gratitude for what has been, presence with what is, and curiosity toward what is still unfolding.

Adrienne will guide the evening through tea and meditation while also sharing the threshold with those gathered around the table. This is both a personal celebration and a collective practice: an opportunity for each of us to consider our own cycles of growth, change, and renewal.
