Tea & Revolution

A 4th of July CommuniTea Table

Drinking the teas of the Revolution era, 250 years later.

Before tea was a quiet ritual, it was a global commodity moving through empire, trade, taxation, protest, and revolution.

This 4th of July, we gather around the CommuniTea Table to drink through history, tasting teas inspired by those known in colonial America around 250 years ago. We’ll explore Chinese black and green teas, British tea culture, the Boston Tea Party, and how one simple leaf became entangled with independence, identity, and resistance.

We are honored to be joined by Charles A. M. Jones, professor of history, longtime friend of Admari, and a true friend to tea, who will share stories and historical context throughout the gathering. His presence will help bring the world around these teas to life; the people, politics, trade routes, and tensions that shaped the moment.

A thoughtful holiday tea gathering for history lovers, tea lovers, and anyone curious about the deeper story inside the cup.

CommuniTea Table is the heartbeat of our studio — a place where the world softens, tea flows, and strangers become neighbors. Each Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:30 PM, the table is open. Wander in when it feels right, stay for a single steep or settle in for the full unfolding. There is no rush here.

Come as you are. Leave a little lighter. Let tea remind you how good it feels to belong.

Reservations recommended | $25 for guests.

Admari Tea Circle members usually join at no additional charge. Guest passes are not valid for this offering.

If this feels like your community, membership might be the perfect fit.
