An elevated representation of Jin Jun Mei, the famous bud only tea from Wuyishan, China.

Our Golden Steed (Jin Jun Mei) is one of China’s most esteemed black teas, originating from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, a region renowned for producing some of the world’s finest teas. This exquisite tea is crafted exclusively from the tender buds of the Huang Guan Yin cultivar, hand-picked in early spring from the high-altitude tea gardens of Aotou Village, nestled within the Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve. The pristine environment, with its mineral-rich soil and misty peaks, imparts a unique character to the tea, enhancing its rich, complex flavor profile. Jin Jun Mei is known for its bright golden-red liquor, smooth and full-bodied texture, and natural sweetness, with notes of malt, honey, and sweet potatoes, complemented by floral undertones. The careful production process—meticulous withering, oxidation, and hand-rolling—preserves the delicate essence of the tea buds, resulting in a tea that is both robust and refined. This tea is celebrated not only for its luxurious flavor but also for its lack of bitterness, even when steeped for longer periods, making it a perfect choice for connoisseurs and special occasions.
